SHOWROOM SALES CONSULTANT / DESIGN
LIVIO, a Louisiana-owned retail and design company, is hiring a showroom sales consultant / design for our Lacombe location, which specializes in indoor/outdoor furniture, decor, and interior design services. Our ideal candidate will be a fast learner with a collaborative nature and some knowledge of design concepts or experience in furniture sales. This role is perfect for someone who is just starting a design career, someone with a design background transitioning back into a career, or a retail sales professional with an eye for design.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with customers by appointment and walk-in, including contractors, designers, and homeowners, to sell a wide range of products and services.
Respond to inquiries with accurate pricing, inventory, and delivery information. Resolve customer service issues efficiently.
Greet guests upon arrival to our showroom, learn their motivation for visiting, and foster a lasting customer relationship.
Must be able to learn every aspect of our products and services, continually improve sales skills, and promote a friendly professional image.
Assemble furniture and appliances as needed.
Assist in moving inventory in and out of the showroom.
Assist in merchandising the showroom according to brand standards, including receiving, stock organization, tagging, signage, and sell-down solutions.
Assist in event planning and hosting according to brand standards.
Assist in keeping the showroom vibe friendly, inviting, and visually stunning at all times.
Coordinate with Marketing and Design on promotional and seasonal displays.
Organize and maintain product binders.
Confidently speak to our clients about our design process and the Livio brand.
Consult with clients and/or lead designers in selecting materials, furnishings, and decor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Solid communication and interpersonal skills. We often joke around with each other, but we’re not joking about this. We are looking for someone who can work retail in our showroom, but also help in the Design department and coordinate with the Marketing department. We need someone capable of wearing multiple hats who thrives on fostering productivity and teamwork.
Strong sense of style and an eye for details, design, and merchandising.
Great at problem-solving and self-starting.
Computer skills: Must be able to use Microsoft Office products proficiently. Familiarity or experience with quoting, purchasing, and/or design software is a huge plus, but we can teach this if you are an enthusiastic learner.
Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and have the physical mobility and dexterity to frequently stand, bend, push, twist, kneel, climb, squat, stoop, and reach overhead.
Consistent presence at work is required.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of the following required:
Commissioned sales experience
Customer service experience
Building / Design industry experience
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
